Sidewalk Chalk Project

Team projects are a very big opportunity for your fellow classmates and yourself to learn new things. Some things that I learned from doing this project was there is a lot of diversity in our group for example a boy in our group really liked to hunt and be outside in nature so he decided to draw a tree. Another example would be a girl in my group she loves sports and she plays softball and basketball. The last girl in our group loved music so she drew music notes. When we were sketching out ideas we had all agreed to do a shield but a lot of there groups were doing that and we wanted to be different so we went with a string of Polaroid pictures and it turned out really nice.
Growth and Memories
The actual creation of our sidewalk chalk outside was a little challenging because the rectangle was very large and our symbols weren't very big. We hung the string pretty high up on the rectangle so there was a lot of empty space towards the bottom of the rectangle, so I decided we could draw grass and some flowers to show growth in life and e-communications. The colors that we used in our symbols were very realistic for example my pointe shoes were pink because that's how they are in real life. The collaboration in our group was actually very good, we listened to each so we all knew what was going on so that we could make that sketch come out on the pavement nicely. Something that I plan to do differently next time is to expand my ideas because I don't want pointe shoes to define me all the time.
